MZS-Hermetic™ / Weldable lip development
Plan the magnetic lip, sealing surface and welded bag construction as one system.

Start with the construction
A magnetic lip can bring the two sides of a pouch together. Whether that opening resists a splash, pressure or immersion depends on much more than the magnet.
Use the MZS-Hermetic development route to define the closure lip, encapsulation, compatible bag film, end seal and joining process together. The name identifies the project architecture; it does not confer an airtight seal or an IP rating.

Design choices
Show where the closure component ends and the bag weld begins, including the corners and terminal seals.
Separate rain or splash use from immersion, water pressure and air-leak requirements.
A component sample cannot establish the finished bag rating. Include seams, film, folds and repeated-use conditioning.
Drawing & RFQ inputs
These are the inputs to a sample review. Material, dimensions and acceptance values are confirmed in the agreed drawing and quotation.
| Item | Specify in the brief | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Bag material | Film or coated fabric, coating type and thickness | Check compatibility with the proposed joining method. |
| Lip layout | Opening width, magnetic rows, sealing face and folds | Define closure behavior across the entire opening. |
| Joining process | RF, heat or other qualified bonding route | Agree the process window and fixture on representative material. |
| End seal | Corner geometry and terminal retention | Closure ends can be as important as the straight section. |
| Validation | Exposure, duration, pressure and acceptance criteria | Do not infer immersion performance from a splash demonstration. |
From a strip to an assembly
State the stored contents and whether the bag faces rain, splash, immersion or pressure.
Include the membrane, magnetic elements, folds and proposed end detail.
Evaluate a joining window with the actual film or coated textile and production equipment.
Test before and after opening cycles, folding and the specified environmental conditioning.
Buyer questions
No. A rating belongs to a defined finished product and its specified test conditions. No depth, IP rating or airtightness is claimed for an unspecified magnetic strip.
These are different joining routes. A needle hole and a welded membrane behave differently. Confirm the enclosure and carrier construction for the selected process.
Food or drinking-water contact requires a separate material and finished-product assessment. Send the intended market and contact conditions for review; do not infer approval from the polymer name.
No affiliation or licence is implied. Branded systems and intellectual-property rights are separate from a custom component development request.
